Eclipse Business Capital, LLC (formerly Encina Business Credit) is a leading non-regulated asset-based lending platform targeting both privately owned and publicly traded companies across a wide range of industries. Eclipse Business Capital (EBC) was originally founded in 2016 by an ABL team led by Marty Battaglia, backed by Encina Capital and an affiliate of certain funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. In August 2021, EBC recapitalized and rebranded as Eclipse Business Capital, backed by Barings/Mass Mutual. EBC lends to both privately-held and publicly traded companies across a wide range of industries. Products include senior secured credit facilities, ranging from $10 -$300 million, secured by collateral such as accounts receivable, inventory, equipment, real estate, and intellectual property. Since it was established, EBC has underwritten more than 106 transactions totaling over $5.4 billion in aggregate credit facilities. EBC has an experienced team of 45 professionals, located in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Charlotte, Sarasota, and Miami. EBC is led by CEO & co-Founder Marty Battaglia, a 40-year industry veteran who has been instrumental in building highly successful ABL platforms at PPM America and LaSalle Business Credit.
