Eco Home Services was founded to address the growing need to make every home a healthy home. Houses are more than physical structures providing shelter. They are homes. Homes, where we raise families, socialize with friends, rest, relax, and generally retreat from the rest of the world. What many homeowners don’t realize is most newly constructed and existing homes have not been built with health and sustainability in mind. In addition, we are relatively unaware of the strong connection between the health of a home and the health of the occupants. The average American spends 90 percent of their time indoors. So, it shouldn’t surprise us that the health of our home affects our family’s overall wellbeing. In truth, research reveals that housing undoubtedly influences occupant health. EPA studies of human exposure to air pollutants indicate indoor levels of pollutants may be two to five times — and occasionally more than 100 times — higher than outdoor levels.
