That’s why we set out to provide the country with surfaces that look beautiful, without compromise. Solid surfaces that enhance any home and don’t negatively impact the environment or your health, like others can. A staggering number of surfaces are manufactured using quartz, the dust of which contains respirable crystalline silica (RCS). RCS is often referred to as the new asbestos because it’s a proven cause of silicosis, a terminal respiratory disease. Current legislation allows engineered stone to be comprised of up to 40% crystalline silica. The truth is any percentage of RCS is dangerous, except 0%, so that’s exactly what we worked towards. Our solid surfaces are made from 100% recycled glass which contains no crystalline silica. As a result, it’s better for the health of people working with it and it’s better for the health of our planet too.
