A Sustainable Solution for Rural Energy Transition At Eco-Vohitra, we believe that every rural community has the potential to become a key player in sustainable development. Our mission is to facilitate access to eco-friendly energy solutions through the installation of biodigesters, which convert organic waste into biogas. This clean and renewable biogas provides a reliable source of energy for cooking and household use, reducing dependence on traditional fuels like wood or charcoal. Project impacts- Clean cooking: By providing a clean cooking solution, biogas helps reduce harmful emissions and improves household health. Gone are the toxic fumes produced by traditional cooking methods, often responsible for respiratory diseases in rural areas- Environmental protection: Our biodigesters recycle agricultural and household waste, thereby limiting deforestation and pollution caused by the extensive use of firewood- Empowerment of local communities: We train residents on the use and maintenance of biodigesters, enabling them to become energy independent while enhancing their technical skills- Improvement of living conditions: By reducing the need to gather firewood or buy charcoal, households save time, money, and can allocate their resources to other essential needs. Through our approach focused on methanation technology and local training, we are helping build a cleaner and healthier future for rural areas in Madagascar.
