Nearly everyone in Bangkok has access to electricity, and energy consumption continues to rise steadily each year. Despite the fact that around 80% of Thailand’s electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels, many people take electricity for granted and remain unaware of its environmental cost. At Econok, we are committed to promoting energy-saving behaviors and fostering environmental responsibility. We take a hands-on approach, focusing our efforts on encouraging Bangkok residents to adopt practical energy-saving habits. We believe that increasing awareness in the capital will lead to long-term benefits for the entire country. Reducing CO2 emissions from human activities is one of the most pressing environmental challenges we face. Energy conservation is often overlooked, despite being one of the simplest and most effective ways to cut CO₂ emissions without relying on advanced technology. We act locally in the Bangkok area while remaining mindful of the diverse contexts and approaches in other countries.
