ECOSIYA has been founded to promote sustainable development. Areas of expertise are food waste recycling and "compost tea", a concept to restore microbial populations of degraded soils. ATIRA provides several treatment methods for organic waste, and specifically food waste, in professional environments like commercial kitchens, large-scale catering establishments, and the agribusiness sector. Aerobic digesters and electromechanical composters reduce food waste up to 90%. Treatment is on-site, thus avoiding transport and dumping of organic waste at landfills, and reducing considerably waste disposal fees for the users of these machines. The application of compost tea restores the natural health of degraded soils. It offers great potential for sustainable agriculture, horticulture, and landscaping. Though still widely unknown or disregarded, the use of compost tea is slowly but steady spreading in many countries. Located in Marseille, ATIRA operates in the whole of France.
