One major deficiency we recognized in the landscaping industry is that there is very little communication or transparency with landscaping customers especially in the commercial maintenance sector. We are innovating to change this for the better through technology. Some of the major challenges we have identified are the following: • Lack of property reports • Landscape company is not proactive • Calls go unanswered • Lack of participation in planning • Lack of transparency • Slow turnaround times • Poor customer service • Lack of evidence regarding irrigation repairs • and the list goes on. We are arming our technicians in the field with mobile technology that will allow them to capture pictures, notes and precise locations of issues they have identified in the field so that they can be documented and scheduled for resolution by a central dispatch. This information is then shared in real-time with our board members and property managers so they are continually aware of what is being worked on and when. We aim to bring landscaping into the 21st century by developing a collaborative mobile platform where Property Management, Landscape Maintenance, and Stakeholder (Board of Director) teams can work together to build a more aesthetic and attractive community.
