ECOSURG® is an FDA Registered developer of environmentally-friendly surgical supplies that is dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of the surgical suite. Our flagship product line of EcoSurg® Patient Positioners was launched in the Fall of 2012 Disposable foam patient positioners are used in over 20 Million surgical procedures per year in the United States alone. These foam shapes are used to properly position patients in a variety of positions to ensure safety, comfort, and adequate access to the surgical site. Though the design and functionality of these traditional polyurethane foam positioners is sufficient for its application, the manufacturing process consists largely of petroleum-based derivatives. Our proprietary line of EcoSurg® Patient Positioners is manufactured using an alternative material made up of renewable composites. The production of this environmentally friendly material results in a significantly smaller carbon footprint than the current standard of care. As facilities across the country continue to pursue greener initiatives, we are positioned as a leader in the Green Healthcare Movement.
