EcoWest was founded 24 years ago to provide interdisciplinary, ecologically-based consulting services with a personal, hands-on touch. We were originally established as Western Wetland Systems with a focus solely on wetland and riparian habitats Since then we have expanded our capabilities to encompass the whole watershed, including both upland and wetland resource assessment, permitting, and habitat restoration capabilities and in 2004 we changed our name to EcoWest Consulting, Inc. to match our corresponding growth. EcoWest addresses natural resource issues at any stage of project implementation from initial surveys through permitting and construction monitoring, but our specialty is habitat mitigation and monitoring where we use our technical expertise to develop plans that actually fit the site and can be sustainable over the long term. Because we have worked on projects at all stages from feasibility analyses and baseline surveys to construction to restoration/revegetation, we know the ecology of the system and we know what works.
