Edintervention Ltd

Edintervention was founded by Paul Derbyshire and Dominic Goodhall based on our ambition to make a difference in the lives of young people of Greater Manchester. With our primary goal to provide second chances at education in a way that is dissimilar to conventional mainstream settings. Combined, we have over 20 years teaching experience, inclusive of leadership responsibilities in behaviour for learning across secondary schools, pupil referral units, and alternative provision settings. We have first-hand experiences of the barriers young people face that often prevents them making progress both academically and socially. Consequently, we wanted to use our skills and expertise to help engage, educate, and motivate others to instil self-belief, which in doing so facilitating optimistic outcomes into adult life and for the future. There is a shared belief that all students have the right to an education in a environment that best meets their needs and offers them the interest and engagement that they can relate to and enjoy. Similarly, we have a great understanding that many young people do not engage with traditional educational methods. We as the founders of Edintervention are extremely fortunate as our fantastic team share the passion and vision in endeavouring to make positive impacts and differences in the lives of the families we have the pleasure of working alongside on a daily basis. Ultimately, as a collective, it is the staff who make Edintervention a place where students feel safe in a provision that can offer the stability and support which provides the foundations to move on in their journey and into a positive destination.
