Editora Trinta Zero Nove
Launched in 2018, Editora Trinta Zero Nove (ETZN - named after September 30, International Translation Day) is a black woman-owned, independent micro publisher based in Maputo, Mozambique. It is the first Mozambican Publishing House dedicated to literary translation, and to publish audiobooks. ETZN is committed to publishing in local languages, to be innovative and inclusive in its mission to, among others, reach new readers by offering books at an affordable price that are accessible to people with disabilities. Since its establishment, ETZN has published over 50 books and extended its distribution to over 80 countries through its partnership with the African Books Collective. ETZN published many acclaimed writers such as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Conceição Evaristo, Koleka Putuma and the Nobel Prize Laureate Naguib Mahfouz. In 2021 the publisher won the London Book Fair's International Excellence Award for Literary Translation Initiatives, followed by the Children's Books Publisher of the Year in Africa by the Bologna Book Fair in 2023.
