Eeeb Project
The objective of the present project is to enhance the efforts on energy efficiency of heating systems in buildings in the Islamic Republic of Iran, resulting development of resilient buildings and introduction of low carbon heating systems in building sector. Implementation of policies on energy efficiency and developing appropriate means of applying building codes are goals of the present project that would lead to reduced GHG emissions. It is envisaged that this will be achieved by: • Reviewing the legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks that impact building efficiency in Iran. • Developing pilot and demonstration projects on hybrid (fossil and renewable energy resources) and efficient energy utility system in specific buildings. • Market transformation with the aim of development and implementation of competitive energy efficiency and environment market in building sector of the Islamic Republic of Iran. • Development of institutional infrastructure and capacity building to deploy ESCO and knowledge-based companies in the field of energy efficiency and environment in building sector of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
