In a recent survey, a significant 91% expressed interest in an app to share, donate, or repurpose items to manage waste. We are thrilled to introduce eeho, a platform designed to let you Share, Swap, Recycle, and Reuse! Waste is a global crisis: Food waste alone costs a staggering $1 trillion worldwide. In India, this issue is even more urgent due to its large population. The United Nations Development Program reports that up to 40% of India’s food production is lost, a severe problem in a nation where many faces hunger. While global initiatives and local NGOs are tackling this challenge, India needs a large-scale, tech-driven solution to address waste sustainably and create a more resilient future. In future we aim to create an e-commerce platform dedicated to sustainability, reusability and recycling by promoting rural micro-entrepreneurs, organic farming, handicrafts, eco-friendly products, street vendors, and more. Thousands of small businesses in rural areas lack access to an exclusive online platform where they can showcase their products to reach a broader market and maximise their earnings.
