Effective Altruism Blue
Effective Altruism Blue is a university group for Ateneans interested in effective altruism (EA) – a philosophy and global movement of people who strive to improve the world as effectively as possible through the use of evidence and reason. Since our founding in 2019, we have endeavored to be an avenue for students to discover effective altruism, explore its implications, and start practicing its principles together with a community that fosters healthy criticism and growth. Through our larger discussion events and smaller one-on-one conversations, we encourage our members to consider a variety of contemporary problems and reflect on how they can harness their own skills and resources towards countering those problems, while acknowledging uncertainties.
