The architectural office was established by civil architect MNAL Jan-Petter Kristiansen in 1978. Already the following year, Rolv Selmer-Olsen became a co-owner and the firm was named Kristiansen & Selmer-Olsen ANS. In 1985, we opened our own branch office in Egersund, and in 2002 the branch office in Lyngdal also came into place. It has always been important for us to be close to our customers and the branch offices that contribute well to that. In Kristiansen & Selmer-Olsen AS became one of the participants in the Strandgården competence center for building and spatial planning. We designed the building ourselves and today it is called S32. In the same year, we also received Architectural Protection from Egersund municipality, for the work of combining an older building with a new extension. Generation change The founders Jan Petter Kristiansen and Rolv Selmer-Olsen retired in 2012 and 2015. This led to a natural change of generations, with new people in leading positions. New minds also mean new ideas, but the core values on which the company is founded are still in focus. We take the good things from the past with us as we steer our course forward. In 2023, we changed our visual profile and changed to the name egðastrek. The purpose of the new name is to clearly communicate our local roots and core competence. From past to future Throughout the company's history, it has been a guiding principle that ownership should be shared between several employees. This has contributed to the fact that we rarely lose people and can retain and build solid competence internally. This philosophy has meant that we have been able to be the leading architectural office in the region for over 45 years. Through creativity, sustainability and broad expertise, we aim to be at the forefront, also in the future.
