EGG ENERGY LTD invested more than 10 million euro in a bio gas plant and fertilizer production plant in 2015. Plant was commissioned in December 2015 and is based on 100% poultry manure processing. Installed electrical power of the bio gas plant is 2 MW. Total amount of produced electricity per year approx. 16 kW. Cogeneration plant produces thermal energy equal to the produced electricity amount. The main raw material what used for the bio gas production is poultry manure. 100% of poultry manure comes from Balticovo AS, what is the major producer of table eggs and egg products in the Northern Residual material (fermented substrate) of the bio gas plant converted to the valuable fertilizer: Liquid concentrate of the ammonium sulphate: m3/year Fertilizer pellets from thick fraction of the fermented material: 10 t/year
