EggPlant faces and solves two big environmental and social problems, the organic waste disposal and the pollution coming from traditional hydrocarbons-based plastics, by reusing waste as raw material to obtain high-performace bioplastics. EggPlant is inspired by blue economy and biomimetics principles. It applies biorefineries and cascading systems concepts that let the scraps of a phase/product become raw material for the next one with no waste at the end of the process (closed cycles). EggPlant aims at eliminating the concept of waste, its mission is to reuse waste as raw material to provide new, green, high-tech and valuable products.
