It has a 19 year track record of investing in tech startups and in credit opportunities across the capital structure of companies. Eight Capital's first fund was launched in 2005, anchored by J.P. Morgan and other institutional investors. It has a proven track record in early stage startups, distressed credit, litigation funding, etc. It exited its distressed business to its JV partner, J.C. Flowers & Co. in 2021. It currently focuses on investing in Y Combinator startups through its demo day funds.
