Eko Greece

EKO, the Entrepreneurship and Social Economy Group, is a Non-profit Organisation seated in Athens, Greece, working in the field of youth empowerment, cultural integration and sustainable development. Founded in Athens in 2013, EKO is active in the following fields: • non-formal education • youth empowerment • female entrepreneurship • cultural integration • social inclusion of vulnerable groups and minorities • all topics environment-related and sustainable development. EKO`s primary mission is to contribute to the creation of an inclusive society, free from prejudice and discrimination. Thus, developing and growing a sustainable living environment. Over the years, EKO has developed its expertise and know-how within the area of European projects, empowering intercultural dialogue among European youth and citizens. Thanks to the enthusiasm, motivation, experience, know-how and hard work of its board, staff, members and volunteers, EKO has established a solid reliable profile and identity via strong partnerships at the national, European and international level, thus strengthening civil society cooperation and networking. EKO is a founding member of Euromed Network of Youth Organisation (Y-NEMO), as well as of the International Alliance for Peace and Development (IAPD) Furthermore, EKO is an active member of the Observatory to Prevent Extremist Violence (OPEV) Anna Lindh Foundation and Youth Proactive Network (YPA). It is also an accredited international elections observer for Egypt and a contributor to research and reporting for the United Nation's Sessions. EKO has been involved in the elaboration, organisation and implementation of multiple projects funded mainly by the EU, in particular, in the context of Erasmus +(KA1, KA2 and KA3) and in the context of European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
