Elastic Fm Limited

Elastic FM is a community owned and run radio station, based in Clowne, Derbyshire and serving the areas of Bolsover, Clowne, Creswell, Whitwell, Barlborough, Renishaw, Shirebrook, Stanfree, Shuttlewood and surrounding areas. We are a joint venture between Clowne Enterprise, Local Business, Heritage High School and a number of local agencies. Currently the station is run entirely by local volunteers. Our aim is to entertain, inform, educate and promote the interests of our local community. We will do this by- Presenting a wide variety of music and talk shows using volunteer presenters and guests- Providing education and training in media, communication and presentation skills to young people and others- Supporting local community groups by promoting their activities and events and enabling them to broadcast their own shows- Promoting local small businesses, encouraging people to “shop local”, to support the local economy, and reduce their environmental impact by cutting down travel; and - Supporting local good causes and charities. We receive grant funding and donations to support our work and receive payment for advertising to cover our running costs. We currently broadcast 24/7 on-line.
