The Elder-Oak family business specialises in treating solid oak with a heat and steam process. We have specialised in this specific process for more than fifteen years. Thanks to many years spent searching for the ideal method we have found the right way of giving oak a unique and seasoned appearance. We would be delighted to explain this method to you. Elder-Oak’s dedicated staff have years of experience in the timber sector. This ranges from the source, the unique composition of oak and the various sawing methods to the infinite processing options and the treatment with heat and steam: we are all highly knowledgeable about this wonderful natural product and can share our know-how and offer expert advice. Elder-Oak collaborates with sister companies Houtleeft and Qolours Elder-Oak also works closely with its sister companies, Houtleeft and Qolours. Houtleeft is a supplier of hardwoods and forestry products such as made-to-measure panelling – mainly in oak – for specialists in interiors, kitchens and parquet. Qolours specialises is the colouring, finishing and protection of wood products. We regularly call in the expertise of these two enterprises. A family that grew up with wood Joost – NHLA graduated inspector 1993 – 112th class followed by practical training at US mills and at sawmills in France and flooring companies in Sweden and Germany. Dirk – gained experience, after his study in New England at a sawmill and furniture company and put in charge to investigate the role of the sawmill.
