Electric Software Inc. is known by our customers as an innovator of next-generation software, since 1982. Our latest product, hpsModeler, is a powerful, easy-to-use software tool for design of heat pump systems, leveraging seasonal thermal storage to effectively match inflexible heating and cooling demand with intermittent renewable-based electric supply. hpsModeler scales up to large heterogeneous building districts. Our code performance profiler, GlowCode, is used by long-term customers including Matlab, Autodesk, Oracle, and Siemens, and is unmatched in speed and accuracy. GlowCode was an early package-free software product with web licensing. In 1983, Electric Software launched Electric Desk, the first integrated office software product for the IBM-PC. An all-in-one word processor, spreadsheet, database, and terminal program, it featured windowing, years before the Windows operating system. Electric Desk was purchased by Lotus Development Corporation, creator of 1-2-3. Electric Software has been led throughout its history by founding software developer, Milt LiMin Taam.
