Electronic Navigation Research Institute
The Electronic Navigation Research Institute (ENRI) was established in 1967, became an independent administrative institution in 2001 and was integrated with the National Maritime Research Institute (NMRI) and the Port and Airport Research Institute (PARI) in April 2016. ENRI is the only institute in Japan specializing in air traffic systems (comprising Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) systems) and is now engaging in research and development to improve air traffic safety, efficiency and environmental preservation.
