Elephant Welfare Project

We are a Non Profit based in the UK, and have been working in partnership with colleagues at national and international elephant keeping facilities for over a decade to improve captive elephant welfare worldwide. We are using rigorous scientific methods to identify and share practices that support good welfare for captive elephants. What is our goal? We want to give elephants under human care the best possible lives they can have What is our elephant welfare assessment tool? This tool enables routine behavioural assessments so that facilities can monitor their elephants' welfare learn ways to improve it. It is scientifically validated, simple to use and quick to complete. Why do we need your help? There are ongoing costs associated with our work and we urgently need your support. It is essential that we are able to provide our app completely free of charge to anyone caring for elephants. We do not want finances to be a barrier to any facility using our tool to improve their elephant’s welfare.
