Ellen Soffer

Ellen Soffer was born in Philadelphia, PA. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (MFA), Philadelphia College of Art (BFA-now UArts) and Skowhegan. Soffer currently lives and works in Shreveport, LA. She is a painter who works with abstract images in oil and acrylic. Her work has been shown regionally and nationally. She has had exhibited her work at Cerulean Gallery, McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Galveston Art Center and the Fort Worth Community Art Center in Texas. In Louisiana she has shown her work at Turner Art Center, Meadows Museum of Art, Alexandria Museum of Art, Louisiana Art and Science Museum, LSU Art Gallery at LSU-BR, Acadiana Center for the Arts and Hall/Barnett Gallery.
