Elsa Tilburg

The European Law Students’ Association or ELSA is an international, independent, non-political, and non-profit making association run by and for students and recent graduates. Founded in 1981, ELSA aspires to provide its members with a platform to develop and acquire new skills, interact with fellow students and experienced practitioners from various states and legal systems across Europe, and be prepared for a professional life in an international environment through mutual understanding, intercultural cooperation, and the wide range of activities and projects offered by the Association. ELSA connects and bridges law students with the professional world, while also supporting as the voice of approximately law students across 432 law faculties in 43 countries. It is supported by the world's largest legal associations, including the International Lawyers' Association, the International Bar Association, the European Law Institute, the European Women Lawyers' Association, the Council of Bars and Law Societies in Europe, and the Council of Europe. Established in 2009, ELSA Tilburg is one of eight local groups in the Netherlands working to implement ELSA's vision and purpose on a local level.
