El Teatro est le premier théâtre privé et indépendant en Tunisie et dans le monde arabe fondé le 5 octobre 1987 par son directeur artistique Taoufik Jebali et feue Zeyneb Farhat (1957-2021). Il est constitué d’une salle principale appelée El Teatro (250 places), d'une salle annexe appelée Carré d'art (100 places), une galerie d'exposition baptisée Aire libre, et d’une salle de répétitions et de cours appelée salle studio.
