Elzinga is the label founded in 2018 by Lieselot Elzinga and Miro Hämäläinen that evokes the electricity of live performance, with exaggerated silhouettes and off-kilter graphic patterns veering on the uncanny. The duo, fashion design graduates of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, draws inspiration from Lieselot’s experience as a singer and bass player in bands since the fun age of 12. How to make a smashing impression in a split second and appear both stylish and highly personal? Elzinga is the answer. Its identity is built on classical couture references that come from an Elvis Presley inspired Rock’n’Roll world. Channeling the simplifying gestures of the Flintstones and Pop Art’s splendid abstraction of the world around us, it makes for collections that are both familiar and totally striking!
