Parents and future parents: are you experiencing difficulties on your journey? Are you unsure on how to better approach them? This journey is unique, transformative and, sometimes, challenging. Ours was definitely the latter. We had to jump through many hoops. Fertility treatments - and more specifically IVF - followed by a highly medicalized pregnancy, a premature birth and the diagnosis odyssey of my daughter who live with the rare disease (Silver Russel Syndrome), came with anxiety, fear and never ending questioning. Whilst everything seemed out of control, I soon understood the only way for me to alleviate my challenging emotions and feel better in both physically and mentally was to focus on what remained in my locus of control: me. As soon as I became aware of that, I embarked on a personal transformation journey. My aim : be clear on what I could and couldn’t influence to, on the one hand trust my medical support network and, on the other, reach serenity in my everyday life through introspection and resorting to life hacks. It was by learning to take care of myself on different levels (physical, emotional, and mental) and by relying on the encounters made along the way that I managed to overcome these difficulties. Today I want to help you. Grounded in my lived experience, graduate in human relationship and personal development counselling, with a philosophy of considering unforeseen events as opportunities for transformation, I offer dedicated support to help you find your own resources to navigate this stage of your life with more confidence and serenity.
