Emily J. Miller Consulting

I got my start as a consultant in 2016 after working with a business owner as part of a capstone project to earn my masters degree in Management & Leadership. My task was to conduct a needs analysis, discover challenges and find the root cause to those problems, then draft a report detailing the results of my investigation and provide recommendations to address those challenges. My client hired me immediately to implement those recommendations, and I re-enrolled in school to earn my MBA because I felt that I owed my client, as well as any future clients, to have a comprehensive and well-rounded business education. It was a project that lasted two years and was more intense and demanding that I initially realized, but it was one of the most exciting and rewarding times of my career. I value integrity, collaboration, honesty, achievement, and fun. My role as a consultant is to provide expertise, resources and guidance to business owners and their personnel in the spirit of those values so they can run a successful and profitable business on their terms. On a personal note: I love 80s music, I’m an advocate for animal rescue and love all dogs (but pugs are special to me), and I write a coffee blog in my spare time.
