The Emily Jerry Foundation was established in 2009 to protect our nation’s children from medical errors. These countless, and in the case of 2 year old Emily Jerry, sometimes deadly mistakes are most often avoidable. Our core focus includes increasing public awareness around the fact that shockingly, preventable medical errors have now been identified as the third leading cause of the death in the United States! This very important issue, one that impacts each and every one of us that receive any type of healthcare, requires our full attention. Therefore the Emily Jerry Foundation is striving to get better legislation in place across the United States. We are laser-focused on saving lives by studying best practices in technology, legislation, and process improvements to make our world-renowned medical facilities much safer.
