Employer First

Employer First was a unique employer-owned and employer-led workforce development service organisation, which was established to initally address the skills and employment issues facing the Low Carbon sector. Employer First worked to enable Low Carbon businesses and entrepreneurs to take direct action to develop and improve the skills and employability of their workforce, hence making the business more able to compete in a global market. By placing ownership and control of skills and training provision at the hands of employers, Employer First provided a new way of operating.
