Empower Fingal

Empower is the local development organisation for Fingal. We support people in the areas of Community Development, Employment, Training & Health Promotion. Empower is the local development company for Fingal and is responsible for a range of Government funded programmes to meet the needs of individuals, families and community groups. Blanchardstown Area Partnership was originally established in November 1995, and we are one of 52 Local Development Companies operating throughout Ireland. We are responsibile for identifying, and responding to, local needs through consultation and by working with community groups. Our Board of Directors includes a wide range of community, statutory and social partner representatives, together with three local elected representatives and nominees of Fingal County Council and the Fingal Enterprise Board. Major programme funding is provided from the Exchequer through the Local and Community Development Programme (funded by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government through POBAL) and the Local Employment Service (funded by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through FÁS).
