Dr. Lynn has accepted Medicare and worked with individuals age 65 and over for many years. Her work with Geriatric patients includes inpatient and outpatient therapy. Focus with this population is generally centered on managing depression and anxiety as related to retirement, identity changes, financial stress, relationship changes, grief, support for caregivers of an elderly person/spouse. Additional issues include drug and alcohol issues, health issues, chronic pain, etc. Dr. Lynn's specialties include- Anxiety, including general anxiety, panic attacks, OCD tendencies - Depression, including chronic and acute symptoms of depression - Bipolar (mood instability), including hypo-manic and manic symptoms - Grief, acute and long-term - Pre-marital counseling: focus is on developing a healthy foundation for a successful marriage - Couples counseling: regardless if you have been married for 6 months or 30 years, couples counseling focuses on assisting the couple with current challenges or rebuilding lost love/trust/friendship - Health Psychology: Therapy for clients who have difficult or multi-faceted medical or health issues. Including but not limited to- Pain management - Cancer survivor or newly diagnosed - Diabetes - Weight management - High blood pressure - Heart attack survivor - Stroke survivor - LGBT : Individual and couples therapy - Bariatric pre-surgery counseling and assessment - Neuropsychological testing - Alcohol and Drug assessment
