Empro Europe – Protein Works Empro is a Belgian biotech company, founded in 2015 and part of the Damaco Group. At our dedicated facility in Dendermonde, we transform poultry feathers into functional protein ingredients using a patented, chemical-free hydrolysation process. This innovative approach yields high-quality protein meals, hydrolysates and concentrates with excellent digestibility, specific functional properties and natural attractant effects. Our work is driven by scientific research and a strong focus on innovation. We develop customised protein solutions tailored to the needs of each application. Our core markets are aquaculture and premium pet food, where our ingredients offer a sustainable and cost-efficient alternative to conventional proteins. We also serve other sectors including agriculture, animal feed, cosmetics and renewable materials such as biopolymers.
