Empti is an entertainment company specializing in motion pictures. Entertainment created with the intention to get in touch with truth (as cryptic, nuanced, or unspeakable as it can be) empowers us to think beyond the surface of what the world reveals to us. Cinema can enter us into this dream state. When we watch a movie or show, we are no longer identifying with ourselves. We identify with the protagonist on screen; it’s an unfamiliar world with familiar human emotions. We are met with the opportunity to have an exciting experience while also strengthening our humanity. Cinema has an incredible way of affecting so many people because of its power to evoke empathy. Emptiness is a Buddhist term used to explain the inherent truth of the self/reality. There are two kinds of self/reality: conditional truth and ultimate truth. The conditional truth of reality is dependent on how our minds shape the world as it appears to be. An ultimate truth of reality breaks those appearances down until it can go no further, suggesting that until we get to the smallest possible constituent (if there is one), we are not yet at the truth. Empti's promise is to continually create entertainment rooted in thoughtfulness, passion, unpredictability, and in-depth research for all the stories we want to share with the world. Our entertainment is made to challenge the mind and connect us to our emotions. Rather than simply watching our content to ‘escape’, we aim to both entertain and reflect on ‘reality’.
