Enactus Iit Madras

Enactus is an international nonprofit organization ( ) dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action. Enactus operates in 36 countries with the involvement of 1700+ university campuses engaging students. Enactus IIT Madras is one of the chapters of global Enactus network based out of Indian Institute of Technology Madras. We are a community of inspired students, academic advisors and business leaders collaborating to create solutions to economic, social and environmental challenges in order to transform lives and shape a better tomorrow. Visit our Facebook Page: Started in early 2016, our current project ‘Project Trishna’ aims to provide access to safe drinking water in rural Tamil Nadu along with empowering potter communities. Our intended beneficiaries (rural Tamil Nadu) do not have access to safe drinking water as per WHO Standards with unaffordable commercial water purifiers. We empower potter communities in rural Tamil Nadu with a low-cost ceramic water filter technology. These features ensure sustained purchase orders while solving the potable water crisis.
