Dr Daveson founded endosQ in 2008. a gastroenterology service that operates across two sites in Queensland. In its first week of operation, three patients were referred to the clinic though fourteen years later in 2022 and despite ongoing rolling disruptions from the Covid-19 pandemic, endosQ received 3958 referrals from general practitioners, providing over consultations – including 2324 face to face and 763 telehealth consultations, and performed over 2,500 procedures. endosQ’s regional site operates from Mackay in North Queensland, north of Brisbane. Deliberately collocated to the Coral Sea Clinical Research Institute (CSCRI), CSCRI was founded in 2018 to provide regional patients with access to internationally sponsored clinical trials without which they otherwise would not been able. CSCRI has been a participant in over 30 clinical studies allowing patients with diseases such as Coeliac Disease, Crohn’s Disease, and ulcerative colitis to access new therapies and treatment. endosQ’s metropolitan site is located on the 8th floor at the Wesley Hospital, a 535-bed tertiary private hospital in the centre of Brisbane, Queensland’s capital city. Here, endosQ has again been purposefully collocated with Wesley Research Institute. Doctors operating from endosQ are seamlessly involved in clinical trials. The doctors have also been successful in securing competitive grant funding to conduct their own clinical studies, and collaborate with other premier research institutes across Australia. endosQ offers specialist gastroenterology and endoscopy services, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, capsule endoscopy, small bowel balloon enteroscopy, ERCP, EUS.
