ENDSIDEOUT is a 501(C3) nonprofit health and wellness organization that focuses on the nutritional challenges facing the United States. It is our mission to help schools, families, individuals and communities END obesity. We know that nutrition and physical fitness are crucial, not only in reducing ones risk to preventable diseases but also in improving academic achievement. At ENDSIDEOUT, we believe that poor nutrition, diet and fitness correlate highly to the national health care crisis. We also believe that traditional approaches to addressing the current health care crisis are misdirected. Traditional efforts are reactive: they wait until people have been stricken with illness or injury, and then pay for the necessary treatments. Our approach, which emphasizes prevention and good health, is much more proactive.
