Energy Association

ENERGY Association (NRG) is a non-governmental organization created by volunteers in Varna - Bulgaria, partner of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR Bulgaria). In 2022 ENERGY opened the first free space in Varna for educational and psychosocial support of Ukrainian refugee children - center INTEGRICO. In 2024, Community Centre Varna - part of the Bulgarian Network of Protection and Inclusion Centres COMPASS, was established at the initiative of the UN Refugee Agency – UNHCR Bulgaria by the ENERGY Association in support of vulnerable groups, persons seeking protection and refugees, regardless of their nationality. The partner organizations at the COMPASS - Bulgarian Red Cross, Energy Association (NRG), and Foundation for access to rights (FAR), provide free services for socio-economic inclusion. At the end of 2025, ENERGY Association initiated the registration process as a provider of social services, followed in early 2026 by registration process as a training provider with the Employment Agency. In 2026, ENERGY Association expanded its activities by transforming the INTEGRICO Centre into the ENERGY Educational Centre. The center is staffed by certified specialists in early childhood development with extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, as well as qualified teachers in Bulgarian language, English, and Mathematics. At ENERGY, we believe that modern educational methods and the development of every child are a true mission. That is why we apply innovative approaches through which knowledge and skills are acquired with joy, ease, and play. The center provides a supportive and inclusive environment for children with special needs, offering both group-based activities that foster adaptation and social interaction, as well as individualized educational sessions through play-based learning.
