The Energy Development Corporation (EDC) is a pioneer in generating 100% clean, renewable, and reliable power as an electricity supplier in the Philippines for over 40 years. With power plants all over country, the company is one of the biggest producers of geothermal energy in Asia and is expanding its reach in the international market, allowing it to offer customers affordable energy rates. Our installed capacity of 1,480.19 MW accounts for 18% of the country’s total installed RE capacity. With geothermal as our primary source of power, EDC’s 1,185.40 MW provides 61% of the country’s total installed geothermal capacity. Our clean energy portfolio also comprises 150 MW of wind, 132.80 MW of hydroelectric, and 11.99 MW of solar energy. Our total power generation of 9,027.1 GWh in 2021 is equivalent to 37.98% of the country's 23,771 GWh total generated renewable energy.
