Energy For Refugees

Energy for Refugees is a student-led initiative committed to addressing the issue of energy poverty in refugee camps and communities worldwide. Our non-profit foundation comprises of students from TU Delft, and we specialize in designing and implementing clean energy projects that provide sustainable and reliable energy sources for those in need. We partner with local NGOs and the TU Delft community by eliciting their expertise and incorporating the opinions of residents into our technology design. At Energy for Refugees, we believe that access to clean and affordable energy in a fundamental human right. Energy poverty is a serious issue that affects regions around the world, but particularly affects people in refugee camps. Without access to clean, affordable, and reliable electricity, these communities are unable to power their homes, camps, and schools. Hence, our goal is to alleviate the energy poverty of people seeking asylum and shelter by using sustainable energy technologies. Further, we seek to reduce the dependency of refugee camps on external parties by providing training to camp residents on how to maintain and operate the system. In addition to our focus on providing sustainable energy solutions to refugees, Energy for Refugees is also committed to increasing awareness about the unique challenges faced by refugee communities. We hope to inspire action and support for their well-being. In previous years, we have executed projects in Mexico, Nigeria, and several in Greece. Check our projects out at Interested?
