Energy Garden

Energy Garden is the world’s first citywide community energy and gardening project, developing community gardening spaces across the London Overground. The project includes infrastructure that supports agriculture, air quality, biodiversity, and low carbon technologies, and provides education and training around sustainable lifestyles through AQA accredited paid internships. Ongoing funding for the project comes from the sale of renewable energy. The project takes an innovative approach to promoting civic participation, energy co-operatives, community well-being and clean energy. This project supports the Mayor's Office targets for cleaning London’s air, helping to make the city a low-carbon beacon, supporting the growth of green infrastructure and enhancing the natural environment.
