Engaged Life

The “Engaged Life” initiative uses vocational language and concepts. Vocation is grounded in scripture and is equipped and supported by a worshipping community. Long-term commitment to building the kingdom is different than jumping on a bandwagon or supporting a cause. Our calling comes through baptism, and is based on being known by the caller. When we learn to know the caller and the will of the caller, we will hear our call. Our response, then, isn’t based on guilt, which can lead to powerlessness. Instead it’s grounded in what God is doing in the world and joining in. We are justified by what God has done in Christ and we are therefore free to serve the world unburdened.
