ENGINE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT PTY LTD was founded way back in 1970 by H.J.(John) Deetman. John was a well known and liked local businessman having owned petrol stations along Canning Hwy through East Fremantle. After retiring from his service stations, John saw a niche in the diesel engine protection industry and decided to distribute well known brands from his residence’s carport in East Fremantle. In 1976, EPE became a family affair with John’s son, Peter, taking an interest in the company and the new father/ son team decided to expand to the new industrial area of Norma Rd, Myaree. By 1978, John’s other son founded Exhaust Fabricators (WA) which operates to this day alongside EPE with each company complementing the other’s products and services. Under new management, the Deetman family have expanded the business to new, custom built premises in Phoenix Industrial Park. The new premises on Sudlow Rd, Bibra Lake was completed at start of 2017 and we look forward to offering the same old fashioned good service to our customers from a modern, easier to access facility. With the new premises having more than triple the storage space, new distributorships have also been awarded to EPE from the world’s largest and most trusted engine protection component manufacturers.
