English Fine Cottons

English Fine Cottons is bringing cotton spinning back to Britain. Operating from Tower Mill, a Grade II listed Victorian cotton mill in Dukinfield in Tameside, Greater Manchester, we will be the only commercial cotton spinner in Britain. To spin the finest yarns for luxury fabrics and discerning garment makers, we will be using the highest quality cotton lint – Sea Island cotton from Barbados, Suvin from India, Pima from USA, and Giza from Egypt – enabling UK-based knitters, weavers and designers to source home-spun quality yarns. We plan to start spinning cotton mid-2016, once our mill is equipped with the very latest, most efficient cotton spinning equipment. English Fine Cottons started out as the brainchild of the management team at Culimeta-Saveguard, who have been successfully continuing Dukinfield’s textile heritage for the last two decades, manufacturing and exporting technical textiles for use in industrial and automotive applications.
