Enono, meaning “join-up” in Greek was founded in 2015, by Lisa Soultana an expert in leadership, workplace/force, and organisational development. We work with individuals, teams, organisations and systems across health, social care, academia and industry, to co-design and deliver learning and development interventions. Perhaps the most well-known symbolic commutation of the olive is peace. The olive tree, or more specifically an olive branch, is a symbol of peace, friendship, and victory dating back to ancient Greek mythology. We often hear the expression, “extending an olive branch” to another person. The ancient Greeks believed that the olive branches represented plenty and drove away evil spirits and an olive branch was one of the attributes of Eirene, The Greek Goddess of peace. The olive tree is referred to as the tree of life because the white pigeon that returned to Noah’s ark after the flood had an olive branch in its mouth. The root system of the olive tree is so robust that it can regenerate itself even when the above ground is destroyed by frost, fire, or disease. Enono’s ethos when working with people from health, social care, academia and industry encapsulates the symbolic nature of the olive tree, its branches, and olives.
