Ensemble Eborensis

Ensemble Eborensis is a vocal ensemble dedicated to the performance of sixteenth and seventeenth-century Portuguese sacred vocal polyphony and plainchant. The group's concert programmes generally feature works by composers from Évora Cathedral, and plainchant, performed by the feminine schola, from the monastery of S. Bento de Cástris, a Cistercian feminine house of medieval foundation in the outskirts of Évora.
