Entropyst

Incorporated in 2025, Entropyst is the first Scottish pyrolysis start-up specialising in a groundbreaking power-to-X reactor technology, HyWand™, that converts natural gas into turquoise hydrogen and carbon nanotubes. Hydrogen, a clean fuel, has a multitude of applications and is in high demand as a chemical feedstock; for instance, to produce ammonia which is the 2nd most traded chemical in the world and supports feeding over 50% of the global population. Carbon nanotubes, hailed as the material of the future, boast unparalleled thermophysical properties, such as extraordinary tensile strength—up to 100 times stronger than steel—revolutionising a myriad of industries.
