Enviromud

Enviromud is a company specialising in sedimentological measurement and consultancy - including sediment and hydrodynamic surveys in-water and on the bed with particular expertise in the properties and behaviour of cohesive (muddy)and sandy sediment. Enviromud has over 30 years experience in the UK and worldwide providing sedimentological measurement and interpretation to provide better understanding of the sediment transport within marine, estuarine and freshwater environments. With a wide range of specialised instrumentation and a bespoke laboratory for advanced sediment measurement, laboratory and in-situ analyses (particle size distribution, mineralogy, microscopy, filtrations, density and erodibility amongst others) data analyses, calibrations, deployment rigs and instrument development. Specialist experience in undertaking comprehensive sedimentological and hydrodynamic surveys, analysis and interpretation in a wide range of challenging environments including estuaries, mudflats, harbours, rivers, streams, reservoirs and fields. Applications are for underpinning understanding of site-specific sediment regimes for engineering design and operation of coastal infrastructure projects, protection and conservation of mudflats and wetlands, smart dredging, watercourse monitoring and improving water quality, preventing catchment soil and nutrient loss, conservation, biodiversity, habitat generation schemes, planning applications and seabed enhancement.
